How do I engage my students in and out of the classroom?
How could I best make use of innovative technologies in my teaching?
What’s my role as a lecturer become in the Web 2.0 and 3.0 era?
This blog aims to address such contemporary core questions by offering guidelines on how to suitably make use of modern technologies to promote learning. A major characteristic of students today is how they use technology just like they breathe, without having to think about it. Technologies (smart phones, tablets, social media, etc…) have exploded the “dam” that used to contain teaching and learning within the walls of classrooms, lecture halls, and libraries.
So this blog is about navigating the incessant flow of new technologies in order to connect with students using the platforms that engage them today. Modern technologies will not make for poor teaching, but when used to support good teaching, they enable to bring students to levels of understanding rarely attained before.
